Pump Room

Working in partnership with Dandara, CTW has secured a lease for The Pump Room. This exciting unit on the Pantiles reserved for community use through a section 106 obligation.

The space has been transformed into a vibrant hub for cultural and creative businesses and groups, offering a venue for workshops, presentations, and scratch performances. The Pump Room represents CTW’s commitment to providing accessible and versatile spaces for the creative community. Seating up to 50 guests on a bespoke seating unit, and retaining space for meetings of up to 20 people the Pump Room offers space for creatives and creators to meet, make, and showcase their work.

The site was originally a Jazz Club and Music Hall, so it is only fitting that the space retains a space for culture to thrive and as a base for the town’s Cultural Compact: Creative Tunbridge Wells. Complementing the existing provision within the town and creating vital, affordable, temporary space for creative endeavours.

The space has already hosted a variety of rehearsals, workshops, meetings and strategy sessions, with workshops as varied as Bookbinding and Film Producing scheduled over the coming months.
