Championing Local Theatre: Our Role in the Local Theatre Touring Alliance

Creative Tunbridge Wells is a proud founding member of the Local Theatre Touring Alliance (LTTA). This national initiative is dedicated to strengthening the resilience and fostering sustainable growth within the UK’s regional theatre landscape. By working collaboratively with venues and cultural organisations across the country, the LTTA aims to ensure that high-quality theatrical experiences remain vibrant and accessible for communities everywhere. Our involvement underscores our commitment to supporting the crucial performing arts sector in Tunbridge Wells and beyond.

Building Resilience for Tunbridge Wells’ Theatres

Locally, Creative Tunbridge Wells is actively engaged with both Theatre Venues in the town centre: Trinity Theatre and the Assembly Hall Theatre. We are working closely with both venues to enhance their operational resilience.  Our involvement varies depending on the venues needs – but includes exploring strategies for audience development, optimising programming, diversifying income streams, and strengthening their position within the broader cultural ecosystem. Our goal is to help these theatres navigate current challenges and build a robust foundation for long-term success.
