Elevating Young Voices: The CTW Youth Panel
The future of creativity in Tunbridge Wells belongs to its young people. Recognising this, Creative Tunbridge Wells has established the CTW Youth Panel – a dynamic and influential group of young individuals aged 15-25. This panel is at the forefront of our commitment to ensure that the perspectives, ideas, and needs of the next generation are central to our work and to the wider creative landscape of our town.
Action-Oriented Engagement
The CTW Youth Panel is more than just a consultative body; it’s a force for action. We provide a dedicated space for these young voices to come together, share their insights, and collectively shape initiatives that truly resonate with young people. Their work focuses on identifying opportunities, tackling challenges, and fostering a creative environment that is inclusive, relevant, and inspiring for their peers. This active engagement ensures that our strategies are informed by real-world experiences and future aspirations.
Shaping the Creative Future of Tunbridge Wells
By empowering the CTW Youth Panel, we are directly investing in the sustainable growth of Tunbridge Wells’ creative sector. The panel’s contributions are vital in developing programmes, projects, and policies that encourage youth participation in the arts, open pathways into creative careers, and celebrate emerging talent. Their insights are crucial for creating a town where young creatives feel supported, connected, and have ample opportunities to thrive.
Early Results
Whilst the CTW Youth Panel is relatively new we have already established a few ideas of projects including:
A Creative opportunities Fair – Save the Date 18th – 20th September 2025. This will be a showcase for creative careers & courses, but also highlighting opportunities for young people to be creative right now in the local area. More details to come!
A CTW Youth Panel Newsletter – Helping our cultural organisations and festivals reach young audiences through a dedicated email, curated by young people for young people.
Cultural Anchor Feedback – The Youth Panel have come up with various ideas of how our building based organisations can be more welcoming and accessible to young people – this is being feedback via the Cultural Anchors Working Group.
